Yohan Wijesinghe is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and a Barrister of England and Wales, with extensive experience in commercial litigation, corporate advisory, arbitration, and regulatory matters. He has acted for multinational corporations, financial institutions, government-linked entities, and private clients in complex, high-value disputes and transactions. He is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Yohan Wijesinghe Associates, a Colombo-based law firm focused on practical, results-driven legal solutions.
Yohan Wijesinghe obtained his LL.B. from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, in 2005. He subsequently completed the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law (now part of City, University of London) in 2006 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln’s Inn in 2007.
In 2008, he was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, formally commencing his legal practice in Sri Lanka.
Over the course of his career, Yohan has been involved in significant matters spanning commercial disputes, insolvency and winding-up proceedings, admiralty actions, arbitration, and public interest litigation, building a reputation for strategic clarity and rigorous legal analysis.
